Hello,
If you follow the link below you will find many many papers on
programming contests. I am posting them here because I need a help
on testing the correction of the data I used. I used some world finals
data to find out the performances of different countries. My request
to the readers is to report me any errors in the data I have presented.
Because it is not unusual to make mistakes about finding the country
where a university is located. The title of my paper is
"Analyzing Programming Contest Statistics" and my name is S. Manzoor.
Ofcourse my paper has many typos which I am not currently interested in those because the one on the web is not the final version.
And of course as a bonus u can read the other papers which r more
interesting than mine.

You can mail me my mistakes at shahriar_manzoorATyahoo.com or send me a pm. Other comments (preferably bad, public or private) are also welcome.

PS: Make Sure that you read the revised version and preferbly the high quality. Although a map of the high quality version is corrupted.

14. A New Contest Model:
It has already been said that an ideal contest model should have partial credits like IOI
and and also realtime feedback like ICPC.

Thanks...

Thanks.

There are some more serious errors in the version that is on the web like I have called Africa a subcontinent which is actually a continent. And some grammatical mistakes are very distrurbing.

But my request is if you find that your country is presented wrongly then inform me. For example:

"My report says that no team from italy has participated in 2005 regionals" - which I find a little odd with common sense. So I would be happy if any italian can post a counter example (An italian team participating in an ICPC regional of 2005) etc.

Well, I think you are right. Teams from Italy would be in SWERC, and I can't remember seeing any team from Italy last year.
