New ranklist format for each problem

Post by Cho »

Just found that the ranklist format for each problem is changed.
The author column shows the solver's id instead of solver's name.

Is it a temporary change or permanent change? Now I have no idea for who solved a particular problem. I would like to have the old format, although I like the idea of the new hyperlink to each solver.

Ya, I also want the old format of displaying names along with new format of hyperlink. Names are quick and easier to identify.

Now ranklist page has the same format as ranklist pages on ICPC pages.
But I like old format :) more than new one ;)

What a change... now I need to memorize a lot of numbers, and it makes me feel dizzy looking through a long list of numbers.

I remember similar things happened a few years ago, when they changed the Judge Status page in the same way. In the end, they allow us to see the names through passing additional parameters (e.g. http://acm.uva.es/cgi-bin/OnlineJudge?S ... d:IDSCMTLN).

Is it possible to solve this problem in the same way?

Oh!..

Haven't been here for some time... Oh dear, the new ranklist format looks really awful :(

Expecially Authors Ranklist - it is now just senseless. Seeing my name in the top 10 of the world was quite a strong motivating factor for me. With the new ranklist I'm just going to retire :(

I wrote a Perl script that generates ranklist in the old format. You need Perl and links to run it (I'm going to add curl support some time soon).

Sample page generated by it:

Have fun!
Patches thoughtfully considered :-)

Yes, the old format was better. Good idea would be to make the page format configurable like in the old judge status page. (One could configure which columns he wants to see)

The new format has been in use for a month. Which means that we probably would not have the old format back. What a disappointment.

I have lost my interest in improving my codes and getting better runtimes. :(
