I'm a C-language user, i wanna start solving problems on UVA
I am a first year CS student, I learned C language very well and i was thinking about starting solving problems on online judges like UVa but i can't understand the questions and sample inputs and outputs, i haven't taken any algorithm courses at college though i have some small background, how can i start ? and i am using codeblocks as my IDE is it fine ? or should i use any other IDE ? I also want to participate in ACM contest , so i wanted some consultancy on whether i am too young and lack knowledge or is it fine provided that i am still a first year CS student ? what are college courses that will help me in ACM ?
