We cannot see the problemset at all, that is there is no problemset available, let alone download it.

Do you know how can we contact the contest organizers? We've been trying for one hour already.

Next time you can send e-mail to clarify@acm.uva.es and Shahriar will reply to you promptly.

I just wonder why it takes so long to compile -- hasn't UVA changed her server? I don't think 200 teams can slow down the procedure that much since we (http://acm.zju.edu.cn/) have hosted on-line contests of similar size before...

actually, i sent an e-mail 09:20 and didn't receive a response. i don't know how many others may have sent e-mails too, but since no one could get to the problems i expect there were a number of e-mails sent and don't expect a personal response.

also, since this was my first uva contest to do, i wasn't sure if it was a problem on my end or not.

Oh :P

I got a personal reply in 15 minutes from Shahriar -- so I was quite lucky. Thanks to Shahriar~ :D

Just find the judging speed untolerable...why is it soooo slow?

Problems

Post by shahriar_manzoor »

It becomes very hard for the server if a problem has long time limit.

The mistake I made is that I thought that problem A is difficult so less people will submit it. So I kept the time limit 10 sec instead of asking the problemsetter to reduce judge data. But it did not work. People tried all sorts of methods to solve this problem.

When reply from the judge becomes slow people tend to submit the same code more than once and the judge becomes even slower. Let's see what we can do in future.

I got so much (uncountable :) ) emails during the contest that it was impossible for me to reply them quickly.
