Is there a way I can be automatically announced about a change of my place in a ranklist ( when, for example, someone new get's a better time than mine ) ?
no.. but you are requesting for a heavy traffic 
if everybody wanted to use such a feature then OJ would have to send out thousands of e-mails for thousan's of solvers, am I right? you better make a script or something.
