programming challenges source code

Can someone explain to me how the code in the Programming challenges book is used? The code seems to reference other code that it does not include. Is anyone familiar with this book? I'm trying to study algorithms and I was hoping to learn.

Which code in particular are you trying talking about?
From my memory, there are a few full programs, but a lot of the code are also just functions. Some of them are bugged, so be sure to check out the errata at Skenia's site.
Also, I believe he's got full code that compiles and runs on the CD and his site.
