regionals..

i think we made it in to regionals at coimbatore india..
if we dont get selected to world finals .. would we get atleast a
certificate for travelling so far..or a T-shirt.. while we hav our graduate
exams in the same week..
just out of curiosity could some previous regional finalist tell me about this..thank u

As a rule of ACM ICPC every participant should get a certificate even if his team solves zero problems. Ofcourse you wont get a certificate for travelling so far, I mean all the local teams will also get certificates. If you get a rank then that rank will be mentioned. Otherwise you will get an honourable mention certificate.

according icpc rules r we supposed hav 3 mandatory members of team
or is two member is suffient ..
could u plz let us no on that..
since we hav ur VTU exams in the same week its very tough for the
coach to come...
since we may hav ur lab exams in same week..plz let me no this brother//

My team also qualifed for the coimbatore regionals.
Does your three member include the coach as well ?
So you are saying, you have two contestants.
What is your team name?

In general there must be three contestants in the final round.
Some sites makes the rule that the coaches must also attend. So it is better to mail the regional contest director of that site to know whether coach needs to be present.

I don't think you can make it with two members. But you can mail about coaches. There are even instances that one of the contestant himself is a coach. A person can be a coach with an authorization letter from the department and even teams can go without coaches. Depends on contest director.

Is there any reason as to why you have only two members in your team.
If you can't find any suitable 3rd member, why don't you take someone just to maintain the formality.

i hav sem v exam write after the regionals so many people dont want
take chance since it is on 18th ...
regionals is on 16 17 hence none of people are agreeing for the regionals
ie reason why coach is not commin...
