Here's a picture of this sample case:
Code: Select all
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
1 . . . c . . . .
2 . . . . \ . . .
3 . . . . . b . .
4 . . . . / . . .
5 . . . / . . . .
6 . . / . . . . .
7 . a . . . . . .
8 . . . . . . . .
Bishop can move from (7,2) to (3,6), and then to (1,4). That's 2 moves.

I have a problem:
I can not find any output greater than 2.
my algo is:
1. x1,y1,x2,y2 <------- take input
2. if x1+y1 and x2+y2 both odd or even
a) if x1+y1 and x2+y2 are equal
number of move is 1
b) else
number of move is 2
3. else
no move

what will happen if the bishop or the target is placed out of the board??
you should consider the black and white cells of the chess board accurately.......
the bishop can be white and black colours too.....
