SEARCHING THE FORUM

Post by daveon »

It seems that the search engine for the forum doesn't give good search results. When I search for "IO", it gives no results when I know infact that there should be many. Is there a better way to search besides Google?

I find that the "search" returns "No topics or posts met your search criteria" when:
1. The keyword is too short, or
2. There are too many results (try "dynamic").

Interesting... but I am not sure how to explain the fact that I can search for most of the 3-digit problem numbers, but not for "453". I mean, I can search, but it returns nothing. But if you type "101" or something you get a bunch of results.

I think you should be able to search Topic/Subject only.

It should be some kind of error with phpbb, as you might suppose we won't deep into its code to look fo rthe error. I hope that it will be solved with the version instaled in the new system....
