Hello fellows!

I wanted to start C-programming on Linux (Knoppix, to begin with), but after Visual Studio 6.0 it's too difficult for me
Please, tell me, where I can download good books about "Linux programming C/C++", on how to work with editors(Joe, Nedit etc.), how to do input-output thingy, and so on?

It is Good. I think the best editor is VI. and if you write a pure c++ code you won't have any problem in compilation.
for VI manual you can use vimtotur in command line.

Well from VC++ the closest you'd get is KDevelop.
Try it out. You'll probably end up liking it. The reason
is with vi/vim/emacs etc you'd need to put in some
effort with the commands. However, KDevelop is more
in tune with VC++ in terms of both look-n-feel and
operation.
