Completely agree with you Alex.

Let's hope it was the last such "contest" :-)

But problems were really good :-)

I've submitted author solution for 'E' -- and got "Compile Error" ???

But I've submitted

end.

and got AC :-) "Cool" :-( :-( :-(

Yes, this contest is NOT one of best ever held...
Now I find what stupid mistake I made while writing the special judge (Always reading output from judge output). But Dima!, you should have informed me during the contest about this problem as you are also one of the problem contributors.

About server problem I was equally frustrated as you were and can't do anything 6000 miles away so went to bed and did not realize the blunder in judge program.

About mistakes in problems,
A, B were ok
C the special judge was not compiling for some reason for some time.
D the problem setter changed the problem statement at the last moment and I did not see this change. My fault
E special judge blunder
F Too difficult. Does not matter if it had judge data or not :). Was correct
G Correct
H Correct solution, a blunder in problem statement squares==rectangles

See u in Dhaka Regional Online Contest. As by then most contests will be over and attendance will be less.

Everyone should ask for tips from Tomek on how to do well in slow servers :). Winner 2nd time in a row

I've tried, Shahriar, to mail you...
In fact, I sent two mails, but got no reply...

Let's hope such mistake(s) will not occur in the future (espesially on my "National ACM Contest" :-)

I got your mail about pascal compile error but did not know what to say as I never used pascal on this server.

About your national olympiad contest you must decide when to host it.
After Dhaka Regional I will take two months break (december and January) and hope server will be fixed by then.

December can be a good time as then number of participant will be low. So in a sense it is bad as well. Don't worry taking break does not mean that I won't help in your national olympiad.

It can also be done in February and March with the World Finals Warmup.

I guess the best time is December...

You know, it's impossible to choose super-duper sutible time, sicne some people will be affected anyways...

But, let's hope for the best :-)

a way to save the judge

Post by nal »

hi
i think that one good way to save the judge would be to not accept from a contestant a re submit untilll the original submit for that problem is judged completely.
will this help

#define ME GOD
#define YOU DOG
(doesn't hurt many at the end of the code)

That violates the ICPC rule -- say you are the 100th to submit A, and then you find a mistake but have to wait for your first submission to be judged, while another 200 people submit their codes before you can.... :P
