How to recover lost code (but AC on UVA)...

Post by WhiteShadow »

I think it would be really great if we could have a recover option on UVA, where we could send them a submission number, and they would send us the code we submitted. For example, I had a problem on my hard disk a couple of years ago and I lost the code for lots of problems, and it would be very nice if I could have it back, at least the accepted code.

They do keep our code, because sometimes they do re-evaluations, right?Do you guys think it would be feasible to have this feature here on UVA Online Judge? If so, do you think that only sending it to the user's mail would be a sufficient security measure? And would it be better to create a limit to the number of recovered codes (for example, 10 per month or something like that) in order not to create more load to the UVA server?

I have already thought of this on the past, but it is the first time I write here telling this. I apologize if somebody has already had this idea on other post.

Tell me your opinions :-)
