I don't like full programs lying around. Hints, yes. Descriptions of the algorithm or its runtime/space requirement, yes. But no full solutions in working code.

And if somebody needs help, he/she can ask for help on the board. No need to look into other people's programs to adapt their solution.

This is just a self learning experience. The cheaters will cheat regardless of how difficult access to code is.

Well! It is very difficult to prepare a site explaining the solving methods, much easier to just post your solutions. On the other hand in most cases it is very difficult to learn from codes but easier to learn from explanations. So sites explaining the solving method is more interesting and helpful :smile:

In fact, I am going to provide full explanations to all of them, as well as some of the other problems that I have gotten help on (in which case it'll just be an explanation, I won't post full code). It's just that it is a good thing for some people to see what everything looks like in code.

I think acm.uva.es is very good for self testing. Being older and making source codes available is not a good judgement I think. I agree with Shahriar Bhai and refuse to get that ....

People here are quite helpful.
i have joined last month and learned quite a lot.
I have till now solved 6 prob and everytime i post my problem here someone is there to help.

Only exception:
i had posted my prob for prob 101
