On line books or similar for algorithms..

Post by Cucu »

Hi!!
I'd really like to read books or something about alogrithms; but I can't find books in my country and because of the change with the dolar, for me is very very expensive to buy a book in amazon, even if it is 20 or 30 dolars. So i'm looking for good sites with information, but I couldn't find, in ACM it seems there are a lot of things but is not free :(
Does anybody know something good and free?
thanks,
Alejandro

We can find few sites " Algorithm and Datastructure" Dictionary...

http://www.nist.gov/dads/

A good handbook:
http://www.dcc.uchile.cl/~rbaeza/handbook/hbook.html

Few algorithms in

*.edu

http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~kirk/algorithmcourses/

sites (I always find in different universities!) But my believe "A good book is better than 100 web links". Better try to get old or used ones from Amazon or manage from libraries.

And if you have any particular problem, you can consult in the algorithm forum. But no one can help you so much like a book (No diagram... No notes... No special cases...)

But there are also experienced guyes here they will help more.
