996 - Find the Sequence & 997 - Show the Sequence

Post by rio »

In the statement, ' * ' operator is defined as

Code: Select all

Vi = {m*S1  if i = 1, Vi-1 + Si-1  if i > 1}
But this definition doesn't match to the samples, so I think it should be

Code: Select all

Vi = {m*S1  if i = 1, Vi-1 * Si  if i > 1}
I got both AC with this definition.

Yes. That's also how it was defined in the original contest problemset http://www2.mat.ua.pt/delfim/delfim/art ... UP2004.pdf.
