I have seen the last European Cup and Confederation Cup.

If the current quality of teams are similar to the above tournaments, then no body stands a chance against Brazil.

Brazil is my favourite :)

No one close to Brazil, at least so it seems so far.
However, I think England, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Holland all should easily reach the quarter finals. However, about confedaraton cup :), if Mexico still plays that way, they have a good chance to reach upper echelon this time..... I simply loved the way they played.
...and...GREAT TOPIC :D

I think Holland will have a good World Cup as well with the players they have. Who do you think will be a surprise? The Ivory Coast is a pretty solid team.. They got a lot of players playing in very competitive leagues! Last time it was Senegal, South Korea and Turkey which surprised us!

Cheers,
Zyaad.

Surprise team

Add Ukraine. They beat Denmark and Turkey in the group matches to qualify... as far as I remember.
EDIT: another very good team... czech republic. I am not mentioning them as surprised team[ I forgot to mention them in the previous post  ], a very very good team in their own merit.

I think some of the African teams such as Ivory Coast and Tunisia will be the surprise package this World Cup.

though brazil is a really strong team, i guess this time they won't be at finals(3 consecutive finals is just too much) so my bet is on Argentina(Riquelme, Messi and Crespo are enough to make them strong candidates). Final i dream of is England against Argentina, you know, it's a different match for both teams :D.
For me surprising teams will be Mexico,Ucrania and Czech Republic.
Italy,Holland and Spain with no doubt will make it to quarter-finals.
About Buet students, it's an example all universities students should follow

I am an Argentine Fan !!!
.. but it seems Brazil is hot favourite again !

Like Ayon mentioned, "our country never qualfies for the finals"..
.. but we are strong supporters. Flags of Argentina, Brazil, Germany and England are flying high on most of our roofs.

U think England can make it without Rooney? They absolutely want him in the team..

Bt sure he will make a difference. I hope he can make it too! We can then b sure to have a wonderful football show with the likes of Rooney, Henry, Ronaldhino, Riquelme, Robben etc..

It has been started :)

So, it all starts... and England is probably getting Rooney from the 2nd round. Hope all of our supported teams do well :D

Ecuador surprised us yesterday!

What a fine display they gave us!

The germans were solid as usual. Merits to Costa Rica for their 2 goals..

yeah, lot of surprises, like T&T, i would never have believed they could tie with Sweden.
And about Argentina, they made an impressive first time, although Ivroy Coast played very well also
