Shihab vaia, you are probably forgetting that you can not jump past e wall at any time. Although it's not mentioned in the question, i've added it to my code and got AC with .05 seconds.

Sorry i don't get it. I'm looping while *p and *q both is non-zero. If at some point both are non-zero(not null character) and have different value then a ordering information is added and the return statement is executed. In your process function you loop until *p&&*q. What happens if a and b aren't the same length? I suppose in that case a decision cannot be made like- AGQ AGQBE What decision can i make out of this? wow, it worked! but i'm confused here, i though strcmp(char* ,char* ) was supposed to return any one of -1,0,1 and no other value! i've tested this in codeblocks for several strings! why is the function acting differently now? :\
