Shorter URLs

I want to suggest that the new system should use shorter and more simple URLs. For example, look at this current URL:

http://icpcres.ecs.baylor.edu/onlinejudge/index.php?option=com_onlinejudge&Itemid=8&category=3&page=show_problem&problem=36

It would be a lot better to be just

http://icpcres ...

About your suggestion about using JavaScript + Canvas: I don't think this is a good idea. This basically means "reimplement" a renderer using JavaScript using a new object that not many browsers support.

Your suggestion about using server-side images work, but I feel it is not optimal yet.

Suggestion: display current time at status page

Since this site is used by people around all world, I think it would be a very useful enhacement to display current time at submission status page. It will be easier to keep track of time, and will avoid manual timezone conversions.

If I remember correctly, the old judge status page had that.

hey, wait! The sample output says the first pattern requires 0 swaps, but the problem description says it requires 1 swap... Something is very wrong here.

About the kind of RE....that won't be possible using the new system, since it's not stored in the DB. I don' think it's a useful feature, since you can get it from the mail reponse, and other people don't care about your kind of RE.

At old status page (cgi-based), we could customize it a lot. All customization is documented at:

Oh, much better! Really thanks!

Only one more thing: you forgot to set background color to white, on homepage. When people (like me) modifies the default bgcolor of their browser, page looks just a bit uglier.

Anyway, thanks for photo resize, and for fixing the doctype issue. Page is much better ...

The page is displayed very bad in Opera . I know the reason: the page does not have a valid doctype. The first line of homepage source says: <!DOCTYPE HTML SYSTEM> But this is an invalid doctype. I know, there is another topic with the same name. However, this "problem" is not solved yet.

The image continues as big as before, but it is shrinked by browser. I mean, the image sent to browser is still 2616x1864, with 463KB. An image of 240x170 occupies only 20KB.
